This is a recent dream from 2025. There’s a bridge over a body of water—like the Golden Gate. The bridge suffers a catastrophic failure, and several cars fall into the water with the collapsed section. I see an aerial view of the scene, as if I’m in a helicopter. Then, it shifts to an emergency control center where people are preparing to rescue those in the water—but from below, through a portal in the wall. A rescuer reaches into the portal and grabs onto a kelp tree to pull themself up into the underwater realm. The people in the cars are temporarily okay due to trapped air. Never mind that the rescuers don’t need breathing equipment—but that’s the absurdity of dreams.
