I choose color, texture, shape and line to create expressive portraits. I'm interested in pushing intuitively with these modalities to deepen a relationship with my subject matter. I like to draw from nature to evoke a palette rather than copy directly from a source. Each piece is an exploration in pushing boundaries and expectation.
