[I Am] Barcelona” portrays the puzzling air layered in the idiosyncrasy of a city full of magic and breathable history. The piece, a collaboration with an old friend that wants to remains anonymous and my own perception of Barcelona, is inspired by layers of architectural cues. Starting with its unique urban grid of its neighborhoods, the Gothic Quarter contrast to the strict grid pattern of the "Eixample", and the modern "Vila Olimpica" Barcelona's map works as the foundation to construct an abstraction of Antoni Gaudí's iconic architecture, as if we were attempting to capture the sense of place of a magical city.
