The leannán sidhe (lan-nan shee), or "Fairy Lover" in Irish folklore, are mythical creatures believed to be beautiful and alluring female fae. Legends depict them as a muses who grant artistic inspiration, but at a grave cost. They form intense, passionate relationships with artists, poets, and musicians, feeding off their creative energy in exchange for providing them with exceptional talent. However, this exchange often leads to the premature aging or even death of the mortal she is connected to, as her influence is both enchanting and ultimately draining. The leanan sídhe embody the bittersweet nature of artistic genius, captivating and perilous in equal measure.
