Holding Space has become a prevalent phrase that conveys acceptance and quiet solidarity with others. I’m also noticing the tricky side of how I expect myself to juggle so much internally. Feels like I’m holding space for: sadness, joy, worry, curiosity, to do lists, imagined outcomes, regrets, hopes, dreams, what ifs, health concerns real and fabricated, clutter, and courage. To name a few. This painting is a way to sort it, at least a little.
