Ana Stapleton
Agave at Sunset by Ana Stapleton Image: I grew up in a home with picture windows overlooking the Rio Grande, and Mexico beyond it. The giant agaves that lined the stone wall outside became the landscape of my memories. We watched the sun set most nights, with no devices to distract us, listening to Mexican records from Los Panchos and Agustin Lara. The jagged outlines of those majestic plants etched themselves in my heart early on.
