Sometimes when I slip into my studio after Blooms by Dragonfly (the flower shop my studio is above) has closed for the evening, there is a flower or two in a vase left on the work table. One evening these dainty little roses were left in the smallest bud vase. I carefully escorted them upstairs and painted a small series of 8x10's. These were too beautiful to resist.
