On my most recent trip to Italy we ported in Messina. Where the tip of the "boot" of Italy almost touches the island of Sicily. When we ported the cruise ship did a complete turn in what felt like the tightest of spots for the ship to turn. As we stood on the top deck Mary greeted us and it felt as if we could almost just reach out and touch her! She is magnificent.
