1914-15 star awarded to Private Harry Scholes (17707) of the East Lancashire Regiment. On his medal rolls index card it indicates that both his British War Medal and Victory Medal were returned. While the reason is not indicated it shows that his 1914-15 star may be one of the only medals that survives of his service .
