Amanda Porter was born in Canada, grew up in the U.S., lived in Asia and now resides in West Haven, UT with her golden retriever Stanley. She works from a home studio in a variety of mediums building on the skills learned in art classes during her undergrad at Utah State University. Amanda has exhibited her work Internationally and across Utah. For Amanda inspiration comes from travels in far off places and the realities of life at home. Wherever she is, she looks for beauty in the unexpected places and uses tools of color, shape and abstraction to invite others to see a familiar place, environment, or object in a new way.
