My first larger Soft Pastel piece inspired by an artist and residence at the Rattlesnake Dam removal project. A mix of a stone I found on the site and a photograph of a plant I took. The plant and cracks are skim milk and dried ink pigment painted over the soft pastel color on board clipped in a glass the green wood border is of salvaged wooden slats painted to match and create space between the painting and the glass.
