The idea of this piece came from waiting by a creek on a brisk morning for my husband to come down the mountain from a morning hunt. The sun was shining on me, and I had the time to gaze at all the colors in the willows around the crick. This piece shows the technique I accumulated over time as a house painter. I used mixes of leftover materials from my job sites to create these effects. Including the masking paper, I stretch the paper and painted woodgrain effects and then cut out the Image and collage it into my work. This peace is painted on an upcycled bifold door Image wraps around all sides.
