I have made this painting out of recycled building material. All is painted on a cupboard door, and the frame is out of leftover trim, the sky is Venetian plaster. Wood stains and paint make the hand-painted faux wood. Gold Colored Metal leaf for water lines, and the frame is gold to match. This piece I made from imaging several different views of Montana lakes, not one in particular. Quite a few will have these little Islands popping out of them with needled trees reaching for the sky. There is a memory of being a young girl sitting on a hillside with a cute boy, gazing at the lake and enjoying a beautiful day.
