I started this series, to show my admiration for my mother-in-law. She grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and is always talking about the hustle and bustle of living on the farm. This woman has shown me another side to life and what it means to be family. Thank you Karen. I stretched paper and faux painted different woodgrains and cut out the design of the mountains , wagon wheel and decoupaged it into several layers of acrylic paint. With a chunky multi layered acrylic wax to set everything in and make a nice finish on the top of the painting. For my winter work I try to use up and recycle building material for my canvases and house paints, stains, and plasters for the painting. The Image is painted around the sides.
