In 1968, Robert Easton began his career as a photographer at the U.S. Army Signal Center & School in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Later, at Clark University and the School of the Worcester Art Museum he started a lifelong interest in photography as a creative medium.
Easton earned an MA in Special Education. In 2001, after 22 years in MA as an elementary level teacher, moved to Istanbul, Turkey. The next year, Easton began a 9-year stay at the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon.
In 2011, the Eastons moved to Central Falls, Rhode Island. Two years later they were hired by Escuela Americana in El Salvador. Easton explored the colorful environments of Central America. After three years, they returned to CF and then moved to Pawtucket. With the open time that comes with retirement, Easton joined and became a board member of the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative and Art League of Rhode Island where he is a board member and elected artist. He exhibits frequently in the Northeast.
