When I paint, I add layer upon layer of marks and forms dancing between chaos and control—and sometimes it feels like the chaos is winning. But as long as that’s the case, I simply know that the painting isn’t finished yet and there is still time to PLAY. That’s how I get through the tough days, in my art and in my life.
Through this painting practice, I have developed an unshakable confidence that the chaos isn’t final, and that play is the path. I just need to keep creating and playing in order to find those magic moments when everything seems to click together like it was all part of the plan. This painting is a reminder that you can do the same.
