Alicia Blach Art
Yuma, Colorado
Colorado plains inspire layered textures and fluid lines - abstract works where horizon, color and gesture awaken memory and emotion.
MessageAlicia Blach is an artist and educator from Northeastern Colorado whose work is inspired by the open landscapes and quiet strength of rural life. Growing up on the plains, she developed a deep connection to the rhythms of the land, an influence that continues to shape her vibrant, movement-filled paintings.
With over 2 decades of experience as an art educator, Alicia has shared her passion for creativity with countless students, encouraging play, exploration, and bold self-expression. Her own work blends this same spirit of freedom with a love of color, texture, and gesture.
When not in her studio, Alicia enjoys leading creative painting workshops that invite others to discover the joy of making art in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Alicia’s paintings have been featured in exhibitions and community shows across Colorado. Her current series, “Horizons”, reflects the expansive beauty of the prairie through sweeping skies, layered brushwork, and an emotional sense of place. Her faith and roots guide her practice, and hopefully, invite others too pause, reflect, and experience beauty in motion.
