Vienna
Alexander Grimm, a graphically seasoned artist, harnesses oil on self-crafted wooden canvases, drawing from his graphic design expertise.
MessageThis painting will be a new starting point for future work on global warming, pollution, the general waste of resources, deforestation and the consequences of mass consumption on the environment. As in my older paintings dealing with the car industry, I am also aiming here at the careless waste of water. Here too, a rendering forms the basis of the picture idea. I designed and modelled a water dispenser and placed it in a deserted landscape. The integrated display on the device suggests that the water is chargeable and cannot be consumed freely as usual. Paradoxically, however, in my scene the water gushes continuously from the fountain, which indicates a defect that nobody seems to care about. What's more, the fountain is in a place where nobody is around. A planning error?
