I was inspired by the work of Peter Mitchell, a British documentary photographer known for his more than 40 years of documenting Leeds and the surrounding area. I came across his work on Instagram under the username Strangely Familiar. Having obtained permission to use the material as an image reference, I decided to use a shot of a group of workers demolishing a house for this first piece. The original photo captures a wider angle, showing more of the surroundings and details. To give the image more of a portrait feel, I cropped it to focus on the three men posing for the camera.
