Acryl/resin collection
Artist Statement :
I live and work in Cologne. Since the 1990s, I have been deeply engaged with painting and have continuously developed my artistic language. After a solid academic training and an intensive exploration of free painting, I found my independent form of expression in abstraction.
Today, I work with acrylic, inks, pigment, and resin, creating multilayered pictorial spaces in which inner states of tension become visible. I work in abstraction as a site of condensation.
My paintings emerge through layering, superimposition, and deliberate tension. Acrylic, spray paint, and resin meet controlled interventions and unpredictable processes.
I am not interested in the motif, but in the state.
The moment of highest energy—before something is decided.
Between instinct and control, chaos and order, light and darkness, an open field of tension unfolds. Luminous impulses break through reduced surfaces; structure is constructed and questioned again.
The image is not a representation.
The image is not a representation.
It is an energetic state in transition.
My concept is the visualization of inner states—things that do not reveal themselves directly, yet can be deeply felt.
I do not paint things.
I paint states of being.
The invisible space between two poles—
between instinct and control, chaos and order, light and darkness.
It is an art of the “before.”
Of the moment when everything is possible—yet nothing has been decided.
Form in Licht Skulpturen
Licht in Form
Kein Objekt.
Eine Setzung im Raum.
Gefaltete Fläche, gespannte Linie –
zwischen Stabilität und Bewegung.
Das Licht definiert die Form.
Und die Form verschiebt den Blick.

Vital Series
What inspires me in my work?
Who are we – and what shapes us?
My work explores the question of identity and the influences that shape who we become. Experiences, encounters, memories, and external circumstances leave traces that overlap and evolve throughout a lifetime.
In my works, these processes are reflected through layers of color, form, and transparency. The superimposed layers symbolize the complexity of human experience — the visible and the hidden, development and transformation.
The material resin plays a central role. Its glossy surface reflects the viewer and directly incorporates them into the work. The viewer’s own reflection becomes part of the image — making them part of the question itself.

Vital Signals/Series description (for all works of the series): Ignition, Resonant Field, Flux, Emergence, Puls field, Breathing Space
Vital Signals explores the invisible forces that sustain life — breath, energy and transformation.
Layered color foils are sealed in epoxy resin on aluminum dibond panels, creating luminous fields of transparency and depth. Small air bubbles remain trapped within the resin like suspended breaths, revealing the living process of the material. Rather than imperfections, they function as suspended traces of breath and time — subtle reminders of the material’s living transformation.
As light shifts across the reflective surfaces, the works change with the viewer’s movement, turning perception itself into part of the composition.
