"Pandemic Paper Control" is the product of our accumulation of toilette paper tubes during 2020. Inspired by headlines about people panic-hording toilette paper as news of the COVID19 virus became more dire, we started our collection on March 19, 2020, just days after New York State mandated that 100% of the non-essential workforce stay home.

The lighter-than-average collection of tubes in July also records the challenges my wife faced with crossing the US / Canadian boarder to visit and care for family members in the Laurentians and Montreal. What was typically a three-day visit turned into a month-long stay as she was required to quarantine for two weeks before visiting family or friends.
