I grew up in the vibrant island of Ibiza, Spain, where I was exposed to a world of vivid colors and diverse influences. Living among a community of world-class artists and cosmopolitan individuals, with lots of opportunities to see behind the scenes and inside some of the their studios and also learn as an apprentice, I developed a deep appreciation for the art world. This upbringing shaped my artistic vision, inspiring me with a desire to create large oil paintings that celebrate luminosity and vibrancy. I later moved to the island of Koh Samui and enjoyed a colorful and adventurous lifestyle, travelling extensively between Koh Samui, Phuket, Ibiza and Bavaria . I later moved to Wiltshire ,Uk with my son during which time i worked as an animal portrait artist. I switched from oil paints to pastels and other media, creating pet portrait commissions for clients in England , USA and all over the world. In 2018, I decided to go back to painting in oils again and pursue my lifelong dream of creating large vibrant works of art. These paintings are studies of form and texture, reflecting my exploration of the transparency, luminosity and depth of color and light, reached through the fascinating medium of traditional oil painting.
Statement
My recent exploration into painting flowers began as a form of escapism. In a world overflowing with the frantic pace of modern life, the process of painting flowers became a way for me to slow down and connect to the energy of delicate finesse and color. Throughout my life, I have also discovered that everything is energy that resonates at a vibrational frequency and I strongly believe that we can harness this energy in its boundless forms. My intention is that the quality of my work holds a deep reverence for the limitless forms of energy that surround us, a high frequency that connects with the soul of the observer. By infusing each piece with love and intention, I aim to create a shared experience, a transcendent moment where the energy and inherent beauty of the subject reflect back to the viewer and offer a sort of medative state. Through my art, I hope to transmit this intricate weave of energy and emotion, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect and to become enveloped in a beautifully peaceful moment of time.
