Artist's Statement: In 1999 I was working on a series called “Oriental Objects”. While walking in Chinatown with my parents, I made a rare request of the gift of a beautiful pair of silk pajamas. I wore them in a performance installation entitled the” Oriental Fantasy Bedroom” and six months later I finished these two paintings.
