Artist’s Statement: As I paint what I call ‘imaginative waterscapes’, I like to mediate and delve deeply into a keen sense of awareness and appreciation for the beauty around me. Painting more from heart than from photographs, I invent and recollect a sense of place as I watch the water move on paper to evoke nature. I have always been fascinated by the patterns and movement of sky, sea, lakes, and streams. Mountains represent balance and stability around which the water flows.
