Gina Dominguez looked to her own garden for inspiration when making her glass mosaics. She chose to depict succulent plants because of their interesting variety of
shapes and sizes, and chose to work in colors celebrating the four seasons. She hand cuts and carefully places each piece of glass to create the design. Dominguez says, “My goal as an artist is to create art that will spread joy. If I can make someone smile or take their mind off whatever is bothering them, then I am happy.”
