Artist's Statement: Lotus are symbolic of spiritual cleansing and renewal. All the cycles and mysteries of life from birth to death are represented in the various stages of budding, flowing, fruiting, seeding and dying flowers. Energy, balance and beauty of the plants are conveyed through powerful and languid brush strokes.
