Artist’s Statement: Art and skateboarding go hand-in-hand for me. I have done both things for as long as I can remember. Both activities are about trying new things and practicing, knowing through repetition you will get better at both skating and art making. Shred was made by making a drawing on a black piece of paper. The paper was handmade by my mother. The black paper remains connected while the negative space is cut out with an X-Acto knife and glued to a white piece of paper.
