Tiffany Schmierer’s ceramic sculptures are inspired by places throughout Alameda County including the hills, bay, gardens, and the annual County Fair. Schmierer combines images of the natural world and man‐made elements that make up the landscape of the Bay Area. Each piece is full of details, colors, textures, and patterns that are found in each location. Schmierer hopes to evoke positive memories and “bring these wonderful places into the hospital and to transport the viewer to a place of exploration.”
