Artist’s Statement: I grew up in the Central Valley surrounded by color fields formed by the lines and patterns of crops, sky, and water. These structural planes bear the weight of my compositions, while color ties them to emotion. Elements of abstraction and formal structure divide and order my landscapes, while lending ambiguity to the implied narrative of each painting. The story is left to the viewer.
