Artist's Statement: live in a working class neighborhood in North Oakland. I see the children everyday. They move in homogenous clusters, laughing girls laughing over boys; boys swaggering, reaching towards manhood, all bravado and all uncertainty. Together they are unworldly beings, some so full of life it’s breathtaking.
