Artist Statement: For the background cloth, I experimented with pouring some bleach across the fabric, and I got that nice golden line that reminded me of a horizon line. When I washed the cloth afterwards, the threads on the ends got into nice tangles and I decided to keep them that way. I like to use my imagination, so the Geisha women are peaking through columns of cloth and the central figure in the sky, with fish swimming about her feet.
The central Geisha woman has a dress made of little bits of pleated cloth and little tatters of fabrics, giving the illusion of a magnificent and elaborate gown. Can you also find the other fish and the cats?
