Artist’s Statement: Working mainly with the rim of a bicycle wheel, I cast shadows and project images in an artificially lit room. These images are the perception of a relationship to likeness, a sign whose intrinsic sensuous qualities remind us of something other than the object itself. The work is about visual immersion, and I attempt to create both a presence and an absence within my undulating patterns.
