Dreamscape

Artist’s Statement: This series of photographs is part of my on-going study, appreciation, and documentation of Lake Merritt. Each of the photographs illustrates a unique aspect of the Lake, and allows the viewer to experience a specific point in time when water, sky, city, and wildlife combined to create a uniquely beautiful moment. I experience the Lake as art. I hope that my photographs will help others see its beauty as well, and be inspired to stewardship of the lake and pride in Oakland.
