Artist's Statement: A chance meeting with Caitlin and Laura in the Channel Islands led to a weekend of sun and adventure. We stared face to face a rare and endangered island fox and took a nap on the beach. Meanwhile, back in my neighborhood, people were hanging out at the corner liquor store. I found the pleather scrap in a pile of junk on my street when I returned from the trip.
