Artist’s Statement: This collage is created on a watercolor painting, which sets the color tone for the artwork and gives the piece a feeling of movement. A variety of materials have been incorporated, including gold leaf and papers from India, Italy, and Japan as well as local papers. The lines and circles in the work give the composition grounding, strength, and unity.
