Being raised in the PNW gave me a deep love of nature which inspires my art. At six I decided to be an artist, and I have always been on a creative adventure.
MessageRepresents the preponderance of Native American and Black men shot and incarcerated.
This series started with the acknowledgement of COVID, the growing presence of Black Lives Matter, effects of isolation, the ensuing exposure of economic inequality, job losses and cooperate greed.
Major natural disasters, I’m including COVID in this category, have throughout history created social unrest. There is so much wrong in our society’s government and so much good in our democratic experiment. Democracy is a process, a model that is evolving over time. My art is also an exploration in which I hope to symbolically expose some of the lies, deceit and secrets that run rampant in our society. All that dirt swept under the rug needs to be taken care of.
