The painting of "The Red House At Monhegan Island" was inspired during my resent visit to the quaint little island located off the coast of Maine. The scenic landscape is a famous destination for artists who seek to be inspired by its majestic beauty, and I was no exception. I was inspired by the enchanting red house that sat at the top of a rocky hill by the shore, surrounded by the beauty and grace of the island. The light that day was magnificent, and the red house had a soul that I felt needed to be transpired onto my canvas. I also wanted to share in the same experience that other major American Artists have enjoyed while visiting the magnificent island.
