This painting is a very vibrant piece created with a method called “Limestone Painting”, where the painter dips the brush (usually dry) into two colors of paint at the same time.This technique creates a rustic, weathered effect. What inspired me to create this piece was the motivation of others. Originally before this painting I did a similar concept with the same technique, except the background was turquoise with a yellow rubber duck. My mentors complimented my work and seemed astonished by the texture! I pushed my creative abilities and challenged myself to involve more than just one color because I wanted different hues and textures.
