“Originally, I thought this photo was nothing special. While taking it I didn't have a specific inspiration or intention, just took a glance and took a snap! Editing it then became an arduous process- editing, having it rejected, editing again, then rejected again, and more editing. I tried everything I could think of, cropping it small and barely at all, rotating it, using a tone curve, making the colors bounce all at once, or just a few, making it black and white, using the mask feature. I was going to give up until my mentor told me to keep going. I took a different approach and pulled back on the editing until it appeared more true to the original photo. The reserved approach worked!
