This painting of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is especially meaningful to me because it was the last piece I created while working at Artists for Humanity. She was born in the Bronx, NY and attended Boston University–close to where I live. I was inspired to paint a political figure, and I admire her, especially as a Puerto Rican woman in leadership. The dominant blue color represents her affliction with the Democratic Party.
