MY LIFE MISSION is to be a source of joy, love, inspiration & empowerment to people up to living life out loud, in their own way. That mission informs my art.
MessageThank you for visiting my profile!
I am a self taught artist - or raw artist - who LOVES to create using analog tools (my hands, found objects, glue, paper, pens and pencils, paints, clay, et al), and digital tools (digital photography, Photoshop, Premier Pro, art filters on my smartphone, and new tools I discover along the way).
I "came out of the closet" as a multimedia artist in my late 30s, was active to my late 40s, mothballed my studio for a decade and came out again in Winter 2021. :D I am THRILLED to be in a spacious and well appointed studio, and creating new work, and look forward to continuing on in my 60s and beyond.
I encourage you to leave me a message, request an appointment and whatever else inspires you to connect with me. You will find my website at https://adriennefritze.com. ;)
Statement
Art is something of an obsession for me. The making of it is soul-sustaining, however, that is not where my obsession lives. The transformative power of art is.
Art is the DNA of being human.
Visual art, it can be argued, is the underlayment of language, the one thing we say distinguishes us from all other life. Pictures scratched in the dirt and painted on cave walls were the original storytelling and communication tool that paved the way to language. It gave a visual voice to our experiences as humans then, as it does now. The images transcended barriers between clans—and time. The symbolism is unmistakable. Their meaning lies on both the surface and deep below…
The art I share here reflects both my soul, and transformation (for what is one without the other?).
MY LIFE MISSION is to be a source of joy, love, inspiration and empowerment to people up to living life out loud, on their own terms, in their own way.
My art is informed by that mission.
I look forward to whatever creative and inner “havoc” it ignites in you…
Namaste.
