Lidded toiletry dish, 8.75 x 2.875 x 2.875 inches. Brown transfer with polychrome clobbering. Printed maker's mark for Goode & Kenworthy. This pattern features circular cartouches filled with geometric and floral patterns. The lid sports two of these cartouches paired with two small sprigs of flowers and leaves.

In 1857 Blackhurst & Dunning began the Tunstall Works for the manufacture of ordinary earthenware for the home and South American markets. In 1867 Mr. Dunning died, and the business was carried on by Richard Blackhurst alone until his death in 1877. After that it was carried on by Goode & Kenworthy.
