Lidded dish, 9 x 3.5 x 3.25 inches. Red transfer. Unknown Maker. This lidded dish was originally part of a toilet service, which was a set of objects used at the dressing table. The pattern features a lid with overblown lilies and a border of repeated half loops with alternating circles in triangular groupings. The body of the dish has a different image on each side: leaf sprigs on the long ends and a moth and butterfly on the short ends.
