Plate, 7.5 inches diameter. Brown transfer. Unknown maker. he pattern has many motifs which appear to be unrelated. A vase with Chinoiserie pattern and Greek Key border holds two large lilies while the bottle neck vase with a church pattern on it is empty. A large fan, printed with "HH HI" and several Aesthetic motifs, sits in front of the empty vase while 3 partial round cartouches in the back can be seen. A large double stem of sunflowers hangs down from the top dividing the pattern. The section on the right has a small, complete plate design with buildings, one-arch bridge, and a 3-masted sailboat. A large heron stands in a marsh below the plate, and faces inward.
