Toothbrush holder, 5 inches tall. Brown transfer. Printed maker's mark for Dunn, Bennett & Co. This pattern features two cranes in flight above and amongst flowers, palms, and other large foliage.
Dunn, Bennett & Co. was a manufacturer of earthenware and ironstone at a number of sites, originally in Hanley and then, from 1886, in Burslem, Staffordshire. Established in 1876 by William Dunn and his son-in-law William Wood-Bennett. Dunn, Bennett & Co manufactured earthenware and ironstone for both the home and American markets. Around 1908 it was incorporated as a limited company.
