Dish, 9 x 5 inches. Brown transfer with polychrome clobbering. Printed maker's mark for Dunn, Bennett & Co. "Eiffel" features delicate sprays of flowers and leaves placed around the edge and trailing into the center. The molded handles are decorated with scrolling, Rococo lines.
Manufacturer of earthenware and ironstone at a number of sites, originally in Hanley and then, from 1886, in Burslem, Staffordshire. Established in 1876 by William Dunn and his son-in-law William Wood-Bennett. Dunn, Bennett & Co manufactured earthenware and ironstone for both the home and American markets. Around 1908 it was incorporated as a limited company.
