This art work is a contemporary approach to mosaic made from weathered pieces of wood, carved maple and photographic images. Shifting Currents suggests water, wind and the forces that move these elements. It is an exploration of the human relationship with the physical world. The question arises how have we affected the water's of the Earth that we rely upon to sustain our lives? This artwork is a hopeful vision that we can create a new narrative that values essential water in the great system of our Biosphere.
