This 17.75" x 20.875" framed work on paper by Tbilisi, Georgia-based artist Erekle Chinchilakashvili uses colored pencil, oil pastel and crayon to create a rural cityscape in bright, vivid colors and just barely abstracted forms. The rounded edges of the fence boards to the immediate left and right of the composition create a sense of depth and utilizes two-point perspective. The relationship between the colors harmonize well; complementary colors orange and green work together to garner an overall sense of cohesiveness with this work.
Erekle Chinchilakashvili is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work focuses on the intersectionality of reality and imagination within human perception. Themes of individual and collective memory consistently appear throughout this artist's work, whether that be through painting, video, or installation.
