Artist: Daniel Green (Ukrainian)
Daniel D. Green is a Ukrainian artist, painter, sculptor, and installation artist born in Ukraine. He has exhibited his works in many countries. He is a graduate of the Kyiv State Secondary Art School of Painting and a member of the Professional Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since childhood, he has had a great interest in art based on political and environmental messages, and he has pursued this orientation throughout his artistic career.
Daniel is the co-author and co-creator of the installation series "The Five Elements of War" and the internationally known portrait "The Face of War," which received wide coverage in the 2015-2016 world media and written press.Green is one of the founders of the Museum of Creative Znovy in Kyiv, a founder of the International Diplomatic Council in Ukraine, and the founder of the Festival of Asian Culture in Ukraine.
In 2014 Daniel took an active role in Ukraine‘s Maidan Revolution and became one of the principal leaders who inspired his fellow young protesters as a torchbearer of democracy and the formation of historical processes in his country. He held many exhibitions in the territory of the former USSR and throughout the world. His exhibitions were attended by renowned historical figures.
Daniel is recognized as an accomplished portraitist. He painted some of the world’s renown leaders, who hold his paintings in their personal collections. Among them there are portraits of: Kofi Annan (Head of the United Nations), Al Gore (Vice President of the United States), Viktor Yanukovych (President of Ukraine), Xi Jinping (President of China), Charlie Goodluck (President of Nigeria), Tuanku Abdul Halim ( King of Malaysia), Hugo Chavez ( President of Venezuela), Goodluck Ebele Jonathan ( President of Nigeria), and many others.
