Inspired by some rusty tools on display at a nearby century old winery in Rancho Bernardo, I began by drawing the tools. Of course, rusting vintage fabric came next, with more drawings and rubbings of the tool designs. The quilt was monochromatic and I felt it needed some color, so I added some hand made felt for a color pop. Aged tools, fabric and methods equals: Industrial Aged.
